PRAHA--MICOM: Lebih dari 5 ribu warga Rep Ceko telah bergabung dalam sebuah kampanye di jejaring sosial Facebook untuk mengirimkan pena pada Presiden Rep Ceko Vaclav Claus. Kampanye tersebut dilakukan setelah sebuah video yang menampilkan Claus mengantongi sebuah pena kala upacara penandatanganan kesepakatan dengan Presiden Cile pekan lalu mengemuka di internet.
Klaus mengaku sudah menjadi kebiasaan bagi pemimpin negara untuk menyimpan pena yang digunakan untuk menandatangani kesepakatan bilateral. Namun, perilaku Klaus yang terlihat sembunyi-sembunyi mengantongi pena yang dihiasi dengan batu berharga Cile tersebut saat duduk bersebelahan dengan Presiden Cile Sebastian Pinera membuat dia menjadi bahan lelucon di Rep Ceko.
"Sangat kurang pantas mencuri pena saat upacara resmi kenegaraan semacam itu," kecam Vojtech Palous, mahasiswa kedoteran berusia 23 tahun dari Praha. "Tertangkap kamera saat melakukannya adalah sebuah kebodohan."
Peserta kampanye Facebook tersebut diminta mengirimkan pena ke kantor presiden rep Ceko pada 2 Mei karena jelas bahwa Presiden Ceko tidak memiliki alat untuk menulis.
Palous mengaku dia dan keluarganya telah menyiapkan sebuah bingkisan berisi beragam alat tulis untuk dikirimkan kepada Claus. Menurutnya, kampanye ini sangat menarik karena warga Rep Ceko bisa mengungkapkan ketidaksetujuan mereka atas aksi Claus namun dengan cara yang penuh humor. (AP/OL-13)

Throwing shoes at somebody is a supreme insult in the Middle East. One of the shoes sailed over the president's head and slammed into the wall behind him and he had to duck to miss the other one. Maliki tried to block the second shoe with his arm. "It's like going to a political rally and have people yell at you. It's a way for people to draw attention," Bush said. "I don't know what the guy's cause was. I didn't feel the least bit threatened by it." The journalist was leapt on by Iraqi security officials and US secret service agents and dragged from the room screaming and struggling.
